Nouaison: A Relaxing Ocean-View Brunch Spot in Yeongjongdo

A Convenient Start to the Morning

During my recent trip to Yeongjongdo, I stayed at an Airbnb that happened to be in the same building as Nouaison. It was incredibly convenient to simply walk down to the second floor for breakfast without needing to travel anywhere else.

Nouaison is located on the 2nd floor (units 203-204) of the Ocean Sollevue Hotel, right in front of Gueupbaetteo. If you are driving, you can use the hotel’s parking facility for free.

Atmosphere and Ocean Views

I visited on a Sunday morning, and arriving early allowed for a very relaxed start to the day. By the time we finished, the cafe was filling up, so I would definitely recommend visiting during the morning hours on weekends to secure a good spot.

The highlight of the space is the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a beautiful view of the sea. The interior is clean and bright, and the sunlight streaming in makes it a perfect spot to enjoy a slow, leisurely brunch while traveling. It is also worth noting that the cafe is pet-friendly.

Our Brunch Selection

We ordered a variety of items: shakshuka, pomodoro pasta, a pitaya bowl, an iced crème brûlée latte, an iced Americano, and a babyccino.

• Shakshuka: The rich tomato sauce paired perfectly with eggs and bread.
• Pomodoro Pasta: This was clean and light, with a balanced acidity that made it easy to share with my six-year-old.
• Pitaya Bowl: Topped with plenty of fresh fruit, it was refreshing and provided a great balance to the savory dishes.
• Drinks: The crème brûlée latte was a sweet treat, while the iced Americano had a smooth, low-acidity profile that paired well with the meal.

A Truly Kid-Friendly Experience

What impressed me most was the ‘babyccino’ on the menu. It is rare to find a brunch cafe that offers a dedicated drink for children, and my six-year-old was delighted to have their own special beverage. It made the experience feel inclusive for the whole family.

Between the delicious food, the calming ocean view, and the welcoming atmosphere for children, Nouaison was a highlight of our trip.
