Returning to Yeongjongdo
After a wonderful first trip to Yeongjongdo in June, where we enjoyed clam digging and cycling, my family and I couldn’t wait to return. We planned a quick weekend getaway for July 2026. Despite some initial concerns about the weather forecast, we were lucky enough to enjoy clear skies throughout our stay.
Accommodation Review: Miracle Stay 2
For this trip, we booked an Airbnb called ‘Miracle Stay 2.’ We had stayed with the same host previously, but this specific unit was a new addition. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The space was larger than our previous rental, and the ocean view was truly spectacular.
The layout includes:
- A living room/bedroom with a bed for two
- One separate bedroom with a bed for two
- A bathroom (fully stocked, including toothbrushes)
- A kitchen equipped with all necessary utensils and cookware
- A balcony featuring two tables, perfect for enjoying the ocean view
What stood out most was the cleanliness and the host’s responsiveness. Any questions I had were answered promptly, which made our stay stress-free. Having a kitchen and laundry facilities is a huge advantage when traveling with a child, and the extra space allowed us to relax without feeling cramped.
A Change of Plans: Incheon Student Science Museum
Our original itinerary involved taking a boat from Gueupbaetter to Wolmido to visit My Land and Chinatown. However, due to the intense heat and my child feeling a bit under the weather, we decided to pivot to a more relaxed, indoor activity.
We visited the Incheon Student Science Museum, which turned out to be a highlight of our trip. It is a fantastic, free resource for families. There are numerous hands-on programs for children, many of which do not require prior reservations. My child enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying until closing time. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area with kids.
Final Thoughts
This trip was a complete success. While we didn’t get to visit Wolmido this time, we have plenty of reasons to return. Given our positive experience with the cleanliness, the beautiful ocean view, and the convenience of the amenities, I would definitely book Miracle Stay 2 again for our next visit to Yeongjongdo. It was a comfortable, stress-free stay that perfectly suited our family’s needs.
