Location and Accessibility

I recently revisited Eunsa Instant Tteokbokki, the main branch located in the Eungyesageori area of Junggye-dong, Nowon-gu. Finding the place is quite straightforward; it is situated on the 2nd floor of the Junggye Grand Plaza, the same building that houses the local Olive Young. You can simply head up the stairs, and the shop is immediately visible. It’s a convenient spot that feels like a trip back to my school days.

Atmosphere and Visiting Tips

During my lunch visit, the shop was bustling with a steady stream of students and office workers. The atmosphere is lively and casual, making it a great place for a relaxed meal. If you are planning a visit, keep in mind that the restaurant operates daily from 10:30 to 21:00.

The 4-Person Set and Flavor Profile

For this visit, I opted for the 4-person set, which includes the classic Sindang-dong style tteokbokki, glass noodles, ramen noodles, dumplings, and a drink. We also added two eggs to the mix.

One of the best parts of instant tteokbokki is the interactive experience of cooking it right at your table. As it bubbled away, the aroma built up, and it gave us plenty of time to chat. The flavor profile is a quintessential Sindang-dong style: sweet with a moderate, balanced level of spice. The broth consistency was just right—not too thin and not too thick. The ramen noodles soaked up the sauce perfectly, and the dumplings and eggs were classic additions that complemented the dish well.

Value and Final Thoughts

To wrap up the meal, we added a portion of fried rice. It was the perfect finish to the meal, offering that familiar, comforting taste you expect from a good local snack spot.

In terms of value, the total cost for our group was 23,400 KRW for the 4-person set plus the extra egg and fried rice. Considering current dining prices, this felt very reasonable. The portion size was generous enough for four people to share comfortably, making it a solid choice if you are looking for an affordable and satisfying lunch in the area.
