Visiting Modoow Gwanghwamun for a Lunch Hanwoo Course
I have always been a fan of Hanwoo courses, so I recently decided to visit Modoow in Gwanghwamun. Known as a popular spot for formal gatherings like family meetings, anniversaries, or company dinners, the restaurant offers a sophisticated atmosphere that feels both calm and upscale from the moment you step inside.

Facility Overview: Private Room Environment
One of the standout features of Modoow is that all seating is provided in private rooms. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to value a quiet environment where I can hold a conversation without background noise. The privacy here is excellent, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking for a peaceful dining experience in the heart of the city.

Practical Information
Located in the Twin Tree Tower B, M floor, at 6 Yulgok-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, the restaurant is very accessible. They are open from 11:30 to 22:00, with a weekday break time between 15:00 and 17:00. For those driving, parking is available, and I highly recommend using their Naver reservation system to secure your spot in advance.

Dining Experience: Course Structure and Service
I opted for the lunch Hanwoo grilled course. The meal was served in a well-paced sequence, starting with appetizers that set a clean and refined tone for the rest of the meal.
The highlight, of course, was the Hanwoo beef. The staff grills the Hanwoo beef for the guest, ensuring that every piece is cooked to perfection. The meat was incredibly tender and rich in juices. The side dishes were thoughtfully paired, complementing the beef so well that the meal remained enjoyable until the very last bite. I also paired my meal with a Terra draft beer, which was a great addition.

Conclusion: A Satisfying Choice for Special Occasions
I initially worried that a course meal might leave me wanting more, but the lunch portion was surprisingly satisfying and left me feeling quite full. Between the high-quality food, the attentive service, and the private setting, it is easy to see why this is a go-to spot for special occasions or family meals. If you are looking for a place to enjoy a relaxed, high-end meal in Gwanghwamun, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. I am already looking forward to returning for their dinner course.
