A High-Altitude Culinary Experience

During my April 2025 trip to Bangkok, I had the pleasure of dining at Rib Room & Bar, a sophisticated steakhouse located on the 31st floor of The Landmark Bangkok. This restaurant is not only listed in the Michelin Guide but also serves as a stunning rooftop destination, offering panoramic views of the city skyline. The combination of the elegant atmosphere, high-quality cuisine, and reasonable pricing made it a standout experience.

Booking Tips: Why I Chose Hungry Hub

I highly recommend using Hungry Hub for your reservation. It is a cost-effective alternative to ordering à la carte, and it allows you to secure your spot without a deposit. The flexibility to change your date or time is a major plus. I opted for the “Individual Set” (4 dishes per person with drinks) for ฿1,890, which felt like a great value for the quality provided.

My Dining Experience

The menu focuses on French-inspired European steak and seafood. Here is what I chose for my set:

  • Appetizer: The Rib Room Caesar Salad. This was a highlight—the staff prepares it tableside, which is a wonderful, engaging experience. The anchovy flavor was perfectly balanced.
  • Main: Wagyu Beef Tenderloin (120-day grain-fed), cooked rare. It was prepared perfectly, and while three sauces were provided, I found it most delicious with just a touch of salt.
  • Side: Truffle Mashed Potatoes. These were warm, comforting, and rich with truffle aroma—a perfect choice.
  • Dessert: Crème Brûlée. As a personal favorite, I was delighted to find it on the menu. It was the perfect sweet finish to the meal.
  • Drinks: A refreshing “Cool Jade” mocktail (guava-based) and a Coke Zero.

Atmosphere and Facilities

The interior features a striking red and black color scheme, an open kitchen, and a wine cellar. One of the most unique features is the smoking balcony on the 31st floor; the staff kindly opened it for me to take a look, and it felt quite romantic. The restaurant also includes a cocktail bar and clean, comfortable restrooms.

Final Recommendations

If you want to catch the sunset and the transition into the city’s night lights, I suggest booking your table for 18:00. While the dress code is relatively relaxed, dressing a bit more formally will definitely match the beautiful, upscale vibe of the room. The service was attentive and polite throughout my visit, making for a very relaxing evening.
