A Long-Awaited Visit
In October 2024, I finally made it to The Siam Tea Room at Asiatique The Riverfront. I had been keeping this spot on my list for a year after reading a recommendation, and it truly lived up to the anticipation. It has quickly become my personal favorite dining destination in Bangkok.

Getting There
If you are planning a visit, keep in mind that the shuttle boats to Asiatique only begin operating at 4:00 PM. If you arrive earlier in the day, you will need to arrange alternative transport like a taxi, tuk-tuk, or motorcycle. I personally took a Grab motorcycle to get there.

Booking and Value
I highly recommend using the Hungry Hub app to manage your reservation. It is incredibly convenient, offers great value, and allows you to adjust your booking time and date easily. You can even pay at the restaurant after your meal, which takes the pressure off travelers.

Atmosphere and Setting
The restaurant is perfectly situated at the entrance and pier side of the complex. The interior is sophisticated and comfortable, with plenty of air-conditioned seating. If you prefer a view, they also offer outdoor tables where you can enjoy the river breeze and scenery. The space is spread across two levels, making it a great spot to relax regardless of the weather.

Menu Highlights
For my visit, I opted for the 3-person set menu priced at 1,690 THB. This set is an excellent deal, as it includes your choice of six dishes and three drinks.
Some of the standout items from my meal included:
- BBQ Free-Range Pork Ribs: Glazed with tamarind and roasted rice.
- Spicy and Sour Pomelo Salad: A refreshing dish with mango, fried fish, and sweet pork.
- Grilled Turmeric Pork Skewer: Served with a rich red curry peanut sauce.
- Pandan Custard French Toast: A must-try dessert served with coconut.
- Drinks: I particularly enjoyed the Anchan Nom Sod (butterfly pea flower with condensed milk) and the Nam Lam Yai (longan).

Final Thoughts
Whether you are looking for a high-quality meal or a beautiful atmosphere by the river, The Siam Tea Room is a fantastic choice. The combination of the reasonable price for the set menu and the overall dining experience makes it a place I know I will return to on future trips to Bangkok.
