Oak Valley Resort for Family Trips
Planning a trip with young children often makes the choice of accommodation the most critical part of the itinerary. On our recent visit to Oak Valley Resort, I found it to be an exceptionally comfortable base for a family getaway. The resort’s spacious layout and proximity to nature made it a stress-free environment for both the adults and our five and six-year-old children.

Room Configuration: Layout for Two Families
We stayed in a room that was perfectly suited for two families. The unit featured one bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a separate ondol (floor-sleeping) room. This setup was ideal, as the ondol room provided a safe and comfortable space for the kids to sleep. The living area was spacious enough for everyone to gather in the evenings without feeling cramped.

Resort Amenities
The kitchen was well-equipped for our needs, featuring a fridge with a freezer and a microwave. This made it very convenient to store snacks and drinks for the children or quickly heat up meals. Having these basic amenities allowed us to manage our kids’ schedules much more easily throughout the stay.

Outdoor Activities
Right in front of the Valley Village, there is a playground and a grassy field where the kids could run around freely. The resort is surrounded by nature, and the air quality felt refreshing. There is also an amusement park nearby, which was a highlight for our children. We spent plenty of time there after checking out. While I had hoped to visit the observatory, we weren’t able to secure a reservation, so I recommend planning that in advance if it’s on your list.

Swimming Pool Experience
We made sure to visit the pool, which the kids absolutely loved. It is important to note that the pool is located near Hills Village, so you will need to drive there if you are staying in Valley Village. The pool area includes both indoor and outdoor sections. During our visit, the water was not heated, which felt a bit chilly. Also, be prepared: wearing a cap is mandatory for everyone, and children must wear life jackets.

Kids’ Facilities: Champion Kids Cafe and Funny Factory
The resort offers great options for keeping children entertained. We spent time at the Champion Kids Cafe, which was a hit. We also checked out the Funny Factory, but keep in mind that many of the activities there require a height of 110cm. Since our kids were a bit shorter, they were limited to only one activity there before we headed back to the kids’ cafe.

Conclusion
Overall, our stay at Oak Valley Resort was highly satisfying. The room condition was excellent, and the balance of indoor and outdoor facilities made it a great fit for a family trip. It is definitely a place I would consider visiting again, and next time, I’ll be sure to try for that observatory visit.
