A Relaxing Getaway in May
During my mid-May trip to Jeju, I stayed at the JW Marriott Jeju Resort & Spa, and the swimming pool quickly became the highlight of our visit. Traveling with a 6-year-old, I prioritized convenience, and this resort made the experience incredibly smooth. Having access to both indoor and outdoor pools allowed us to enjoy different atmospheres throughout our stay.

Effortless Convenience
One of the best parts about the pool facilities is that you really only need to bring your swimsuit. Everything else is provided for you, including towels, slippers, and sunscreen for both adults and children. Swim caps are not mandatory, which made getting ready much simpler.

Indoor Pool: Weather-Independent Fun
We started our time at the indoor pool, which was perfect for avoiding the breezy May weather. The water temperature was comfortable, and the high ceilings with floor-to-ceiling windows allowed for plenty of natural light, keeping the space feeling open and airy. My 6-year-old had a blast using a life vest and a kickboard to explore the water, while I enjoyed the quiet, relaxed environment. It never felt overcrowded, making it easy to keep an eye on my child.

Outdoor Pool: Scenic Ocean Views
The outdoor pool offered a completely different vibe, with a stunning, expansive view of the ocean. While the sun was warm, the breeze could be a bit chilly in May. However, the water was kept warm, so my child adjusted quickly. My tip for parents: keep a towel handy to wrap your little one in during breaks if the wind picks up. The outdoor area is also conveniently connected to a playground, which was a great bonus.

Facilities and Practical Tips
Everything from the sunbeds to the changing areas was impeccably clean and well-organized. The free sunbeds were spaced out nicely, which made navigating the area with a child stress-free.
Here are some practical details for your visit:
- Operating Hours: The indoor pool is open from 08:00 to 22:00, and the outdoor pool is open from 09:00 to 22:00. Please note that these hours can change based on the season or weather conditions.
- Bonvoy Benefits: If you are a Bonvoy member, keep an eye out for free snacks served at 16:30.
- Check-in/Out: If you are wondering about pool access before check-in or after check-out, I recommend asking the staff directly, as policies can vary based on your membership tier.
Overall, this was one of the most satisfying pool experiences I’ve had, both domestically and abroad. The combination of long operating hours—perfect for morning or night swims—and the fact that I didn’t have to pack extra gear made it a truly refreshing experience for our family.
